Uses of Lower Coralline Limestone

The Lower Coralline Limestone is a very hard rock, it is dense and semi-crystalline. It is difficult to quarry but it is used for many purposes such as concrete mixtures, building of breakwaters, pavements and certain structures that have to be protected against corrosion.

Below: Often Lower Coralline Limestone was used on Coastal Fortifications (below: Wied Musa Battery) due to its resistance to corrosion.
